A poem

THERE'S SUNSHINE IN A SMILE

Life is a mixture of sunshine and rain,
Laughter and pleasure, teardrops and pain.
All days can't be bright, but it's certainly true,
there was never a cloud, the sun didn't shine through.

So just keep on smiling, whatever betide you,
secure in the knowledge, God is always beside you,
and you'll find when you smile, your day will be brighter,
and all of your burdens, will seem so much lighter.

For each time you smile, you will find that it's true,
somebody, somewhere will smile back at you,
and nothing on earth, makes life more worthwhile,
than the sunshine and warmth, of a beautiful smile.

Helen Steiner Rice

Sometimes your joy
is the source of your smile,
But sometimes your smile
can be the source of your joy

The morning after

THE MORNING AFTER (Mary MacGovern)

There's got to be a morning after
If we can hold on through the night
We have a chance to find the sunshine
Let's keep on lookin' for the light

Oh, can't you see the morning after
It's waiting right outside the storm
Why don't we cross the bridge together
And find a place that's safe and warm

It's not too late, we should be giving
Only with love can we climb
It's not too late, not while we're living
Let's put our hands out in time

There's got to be a morning after
We're moving closer to the shore
I know we'll be there by tomorrow
And we'll escape the darkness
We won't be searchin' any more

There's got to be a morning after
(There's got to be a morning after)
There's got to be a morning after
(There's got to be a morning after)
There's got to be a morning after

About my disease

I am worried about my situation, my urine still bleeds and this makes me anxious. Let me tell you something about what's happening. I am posting some links in English in this blog, some people from other countries have been visiting my page and many of them can't read Portuguese (that is my native language). I had cancer three years ago, made a surgery. The disease came back, so I made another surgery last year. Now the tumor seems to be back again. I won't give up living, no I won't! Life is too much beautiful to be lived, and I don't want to get rid of it right now. No, this isn't fair. I will fight for living, and this disease will not knock me down. Not now, that I am taking my best part!

English Version

I have seen some people abroad have read this blog of mine, and from now on I will post some texts in English too. This is a particular blog, which tells about me and my simple life. The disease I am trying to overcome, my friends, prizes I have won in the internet and other things. I am posting a link by the left titled ENGLISH VERSION. Click on it to read my posts in English. All I have to say to you who has visited this page of mine is:

BE WELCOME!

A HOUSE IS NOT A HOME

A HOUSE IS NOT A HOME

A chair is still a chair
Even when there's no-one sitting there
But a chair is not a house
And a house is not a home
When there's no-one there to hold you tight
And no-one there you can kiss goodnight

A room is still a room
Even though there's nothing there but gloom
But a room is not a house
And a house is not a home
When the two of us are far apart
And one of us has a broken heart

Now and then I call your name
And suddenly your voice appears
But it's just a crazy game
When it ends, it ends in tears

Darling, have a heart
Don't let one mistake keep us apart
I'm not meant to live alone
Turn this house into a home
When I climb the stairs
And turn the key
Oh, please be there
Still in love with me

I'm not meant to live alone
Turn this house into a home
When I climb the stairs
And turn the key
Oh, please be there
Still in love with me

Essa é a casa onde eu moro...
